4.30 pm | Pauli Geldenhuuis | BWRT & the Neurobiology of Trauma - A Polyvagal Perspective: Pauli explores the partnership between BWRT and the Autonomic Nervous System. When the old brain takes over, it partially shuts our conscious mind, and propels the body to run, hide, fight, or freeze. BWRT plays a crucial role in sorting it out. How? That's the fascinating part!

Sunday May 21
8.30 am | Coffee | A bright and early start for day two
9.00 am | Mark Eaton | Too Hot to Handle? A client presented with a long history of complex trauma, substance dependence, and other serious issues. Green-dyed hair, bright red lipstick, nose ring, visible body-piercings and tattoos projected her artsy yet very troubled character. BWRT Level 2 sorted it out.
10.00 am
|
Kimete Oshafi | OCD Through My Eyes: Kimete had OCD as a child and almost every therapy going had made no difference. After she consulted with a BWRT practitioner, she and her family were sceptical, paid for ten sessions anyway, but only needed four!
10.30 am | REFRESHMENT BREAK
11.00 AM | Pauline Havelock-Searle | My Journey to Find the Magic of BWRT: Pauline had originally worked in the NHS, Priory hospitals, and prison. 12.00 pm | Keith Dewey | I'm over here! Getting clients is the biggest problem for many therapists and It doesn't matter how good BWRT is and how good you are, if people don't know you're here, you won't be able to help them. Keith discusses marketing ideas to help you get more clients and an even better BWRT business.
1.00 pm | LUNCH BREAK | ||
2.00 pm | Jennifer Di Fabio | Suicide: Managing Client Risk: As a therapist it is likely that at some stage we will work with a suicidal Client. The presentation aims to raise awareness of risk and provide informal guidance on the management of risk.
2.30 pm | Lisa Jury | Parenting - Navigating the Minefield: When dealing with adolescents in the therapy practice, is it the child or the parent (or both) who have the problems? Children can be highly sensitised to pick up on parental anxieties, so how do you approach this when it's the youngster who’s the client? Lisa shows how!
3.30 pm | REFRESHMENT BREAK
4.00 PM | Steve Davies | BWRT intervention for adult male offenders: Many men have been arrested for downloading indecent images of children, and while CBT has been the 'go to' in the past, BWRT is faster and gives the client a real sense of being able to live a positive offending free lifestyle.
